Since our foundation in 2000, elio GmbH has developed into an expert for the digital transformation of companies. As an independent IT service provider, we promote the future-proof development of medium-sized companies and corporations with our concrete digital solutions, our services and our consulting. At elio, more than 150 colleagues at four locations (Gießen/Langggöns, Frankfurt, Heilbronn, Würzburg) contribute the experience and knowledge of more than 20 years in e-business to make your project a success.
Our drive is to provide our customers with a stable and sustainable digital infrastructure as the basis for successful e-business in the long term. We give companies a competitive edge so that they can meet the current and future developments in e-business. Working with elio means growth - those who come to us can expect positive development. We do everything for that, that's why we NEVER give up. When we take on a project, we lead it to success.
Our approach is to understand the challenges and visions of our customers in detail. On this basis, we can create a technical infrastructure that enables our customers to subsequently work largely independently of us. We are convinced that the more independent and flexible we make our customers, the faster and healthier they can grow.
Furthermore, we understand our services not as work FOR our customers, but as work WITH our customers. We are IT specialists with a passion and we love to work hand in hand with our customers and their colleagues, who are equally passionate about the matter, to find the best possible solutions. This is exactly what we as an IT service provider demand of our projects - the project remains in the hands of our customers throughout and we work on it together. And even if our customers do not have their own development department, they can be sure that the project is in good hands on the technical side, so that they can concentrate fully on their core business.

2010
The GmbH is born.
- Foundation of Eliomedia GmbH at the Gießen site
- The first Magento project is realized
2011
The journey with Shopware begins.
- The first Shopware Enterprise project goes live (multishop solution with Microsoft Dynamics Navision connection)
2012
First Shopware Enterprise Partner.
- elio becomes the first official Shopware Enterprise Partner
- We realize many joint B2B projects with Shopware
2013
Second branch & new partnership.
- We open an office in Heilbronn
- We become Profihost Enterprise Partner
2017
Name change & expansion of the management.
- Eliomedia GmbH becomes elio GmbH
- Aleksa Marinovic becomes COO and Simon Toprak (M.Sc.) joins the management team as CFO
2018
Growing team & first awards.
- The elio team grows to over 30 colleagues
- We become IntelliShop Premium Partner and thus leading partner in Europe
- We win the SHOP USABILITY AWARD with the Shopware Shop notlikeyou
2019
Large Projects & Sponsorship.
- Eintracht Frankfurt becomes a customer of elio
- We implement an e-procurement system for the Max Planck Society
- elio supports local clubs, such as the basketball team Gießen 46ers and FC Gießen
2020
First Shopware 6 Shop.
- With DT&GOLDART the first Shopware 6 Enterprise project goes live
- elio becomes authorized Go Digital consultant for all 5 modules: Digitization Strategy, IT Security, Digitized Business Processes, Data Literacy, Digital Market Development.
2021
Other branches & awards.
- We open two more offices in Frankfurt am Main and Würzburg
- Simon Neuberger becomes CTO
- We gain corporations such as Leuze, Sodexo and Cube as customers
- Our heartfelt project Yours Truly is awarded "Shopware Shop of the Month"
- elio receives the CrefoZert Award due to excellent credit rating
2022
New partners & new sister company.
- The elio team grows to over 90 colleagues
- With OXID eSales and Ibexa we expand our partner network
- We found our sister company elio cloud solutions specializing in e-commerce cloud hosting
- elio becomes TOP partner of synQup, the highly flexible iPaaS interface solution
- The mega project Leuze goes live successfully with

2023
We are expanding.
- The elio team grows to over 150 colleagues
- Jochen Kernwein becomes CSMO
- With HCL and Shopify Plus we expand our partner network
